I had the most incredible time at this stunning B&B! The Peppermint room, which was a free upgrade, had a stunning view of the mountains. The breakfast spread was wide and delicious. Mike, Sally, and Natalie were excellent hosts, accommodating and giving great suggestions. I highly recommend this place for a beautiful and comfortable stay.

Our stay at the guesthouse was absolutely amazing! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the cleanliness of the room. The kitchenette was a great bonus, allowing us to prepare our own meals. The private terrace had breathtaking views of the surrounding nature - it was like something out of a dream. The grounds were incredibly well kept, with beautiful gardens that added to the overall charm of the place. The hosts and staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home. And let me tell you about the breakfast - it was mind-blowing! The spread of fresh baked breads, croissants, cheeses, yogurt, and toppings was something out of a food lover's paradise. The full meal options were equally impressive, with a traditional breakfast that included eggs, sausage, bacon, grilled tomatoes, and mushrooms. We felt truly spoiled during our stay. The location of the guesthouse was ideal - situated in a safe area, it was easy to get into the city and also close to the airport. There was a shopping center nearby and plenty of dining options. our four nights at the guesthouse were perfect and we would readily return if given the opportunity. It had everything we needed to start our trip to South Africa on the right foot.

The guest room at The Dongola Guesthouse was absolutely amazing! The en suite bathroom had all the bathroom amenities I needed and the fluffy bathrobes made me feel like royalty. The bed was super comfortable, and I loved having the option to choose from a pillow menu. The laptop-friendly workspace and air conditioning were great additions to the room. Plus, the satellite TV and tea-and-coffee-making facilities were so convenient. I couldn't have asked for more!
Personally, I didn't enjoy the private patio with views. But it's all just my subjective opinion.

Stayed here for Xmas and, to be honest, it was quite enjoyable. The breakfast that was given to us was really good. The staff was also friendly and accommodating. The location was also great since it was near establishments that we could go to.
The room we stayed in was quite small and cramped. The blankets were also quite old and not in good condition.

Staying near the picturesque vineyards, we had a memorable time experiencing the scenic beauty surrounding us. The amazing views added to the charming atmosphere of the place, making it a fancy retreat. We enjoyed walking and exploring the quiet area, which was located perfectly within a short distance to various places for sightseeing. The room was cozy with comfortable beds, and beautifully decorated with modern elegance. The breakfast served was excellent, with a wide variety of pastries, meats, cheeses, yogurts and fruits. the outdoor eating area, pool, and bar added a great value to our stay.
The bathroom was slightly small in size and could have been more spacious.

We recently stayed at Dongola Guesthouse and it was a fantastic experience. We had to find a temporary place to stay while our house was being fumigated, and Mike and Sally were incredibly accommodating. They provided us with a spacious family room at short notice and went above and beyond to support us during this time. The breakfasts were delicious and beautifully served, and the swimming pool and garden were a relaxing oasis. The owners and staff were organized, cheerful, and dedicated to ensuring our satisfaction. We felt safe and enjoyed the beautiful surroundings.
Would recommend this hotel.

The view from the hotel room was amazing, with a stunning landscape in sight. The staff was very friendly and helpful when it came to suggestions for activities and places to eat. It was great to have the complimentary breakfast included in my stay, with a variety of options to choose from. The location of the hotel was also very convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions.
There were no major negative aspects that stood out during my stay. However, it would have been nice to have more amenities available within the hotel, such as a gym or spa.
